"I have a horrible fear of dentists that goes back to my childhood. Imagine my surprise when I found out I would have to go to a dentist to receive an Oral Sleep Appliance to treat my snoring and obstructive sleep apnea. I definitely was NOT happy about this fact but I had to something to treat this condition. Using a CPAP was not an option for me because I travel quite a bit for business and the machine is too cumbersome to pack up. "Years and years of feeling tired all day long, even after sleeping for 8 or more hours, brought me to a sleep specialist to try to determine the problem. I underwent a sleep study that produced a diagnosis of mild sleep disordered breathing. My doctor recommended the use of a CPAP device to deal with the problem; however, I wanted to explore all my options prior to starting treatment.
